Jonesboro- Michael D. Pankey, 78, passed on from this life on Tuesday April 1, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1946 to the late Ralph O. and Loretta Pankey.

Mr. Pankey worked at TEC Electric for fifty years. He was drill sergeant in the US Marines, and a jokester that had a nickname for everyone he knew. He was a very giving and loving person who would give the shirt off of his back. He attended Emmanuel Cowboy Church in Brookland AR.

He is survived by his caregiver Patricia (Dusten) Lee of Brookland AR; his brother Steve (Debbie) Pankey of Allen TX; three cousins Karen Hollandsworth of Covington, TN, Lisa Riley of Memphis, TN, and Wesley Elliott of Washington.

A graveside service will be held Friday April 11, 2025 at 2 PM in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Preacher Michael Partain officiating. Services will be under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
