Jonesboro- Michael David Palmer, 55, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 5, 1960 in Marianna to the late Lofton Palmer and Nova Headrick. He spent twenty years in Alabama before moving to Jonesboro in 2001. He worked at RGB as a state certified welder and journeyman plumber. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, hunting and fishing. He loved and enjoyed playing guitar with Stanley Knight of Black Oak Arkansas Band. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, who will be remembered as a loving father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Justin Palmer (Hannah); three grandchildren; Jenna Palmer, Jaycie Palmer and Lily Palmer all of Hartford, Alabama; three brothers and their wives, Joe and Brenda Brown of Jonesboro, Lofton and Brenda Palmer Jr. of Marianna and Johnny and Carla Palmer of Vandale; two sisters and their husbands, Marvine and Shannon Overfield and Leslie and Jay Scurlock all of Jonesboro and sixteen nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann Fenstermaker. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, September 14, 2015 at Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Douglas Walker, Timothy Walker, Billy Joe Brown, David Palmer, J.R. Palmer and Jacob Scurlock.
