Jonesboro- Michael Dewayne Nix, 33, passed away January 13, 2020.

He was born August 20, 1986 in Jonesboro to Norman and Katheryn Nix Jr. He was a self-employed lawn care service and mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars and making everyone laugh.

He was survived by his mother, Katheryn Nix; pops, Jessie James Warren (Wendy); two sisters, Christian Nix and Amber Hice; two brothers, Jeffrey Nix and Derek Warren (Amber) all of Jonesboro; grandparents, Norman and Alene Nix Sr. of Bay; six children, Kaiel Harris of Jonesboro, Cayden Kitchen, Jaydlynn Kitchen and Braylon Medlin all of Cherokee Village, Lindley May Nix and Conner Nix both of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Nix Jr.

A celebration of his life will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Vonda Keasler officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kyle Ward, Jeffrey Nix, Steven Daniels Jr., Derek Warren, Jessie Warren, Jeremy Ballew and Dustin Hazelwood and as honorary pallbearer, James Austin and Kevin Ward.
