Caraway- Michael Pettit, 33, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home.

He was born February 9, 1987 in West Memphis. Michael worked security at St. Bernard Medical Center. He was a 2nd degree backbelt taekwondo, Arkansas State Champion 2000-2001. He had also trained in hapikido and kempo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and music. Michael was a member of Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Kim Pettit (Jim Taylor); his father, Johnathon Wade Pettit (Wendy); two sisters, Renee Pettit and Hannah Pettit; a step-brother, Brandon Meeker; a nephew, Kenneth Hill and grandmother, Shooe Pettit; and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby Ray and Mildred Austin and Dolphus Pettit.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 pm Sunday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Gregg Funeral Home with Eddie Hawkins officiating.
