Mrs. Menuella Elaine Drake of Harrisburg, departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 83.

She was born October 17, 1938 in Merced, CA, the daughter of the late Urpha Nightingale and Cleora Hartman Nightingale.

Menuella was a very talented seamstress. She ran her own business making drapes and helping customers with all their fabric needs. In her later years she took up quilting and she loved to sing. The most important thing in her life was her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Menuella will be missed by all those who knew her.

Menuella married David Drake, Sr. on May 29, 1970 and they enjoyed 52 years together.

She is survived by her husband David of the home, five children, David Drake, Jr. of FL, Danny Ray Partin of Harrisburg, Brenda Ferriter of Harrisburg, Randy Partin (Dorothy Ann) of TX, and Jennifer Drake of CA, four siblings, Melvin Nightingale of AZ, Gerald Nightingale of CA, Kathy Poteat of CA, and Ricky Nightingale of CA, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, LaDonna Ann Miller, and her sister, Wilma Schmidt.

Funeral services are set for Noon Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg.  Interment will follow in the AR State Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye.  Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, March 21,2022 from 11:00 am until service time.
