Walnut Ridge- Melba Fern Gates 77 passed away at home on June 6, 2019. Melba was born October 7 1941 to the late Charlie and Lura King.

She was preceded by her parents, sister Lois King Morris and granddaughter Gabbie Gates.

She spent most of her married life with J.R. Gates 45 years abd had 2 daughters. She loved gardening, flowers and animals and loved her grandchildren , She loved the coast and searching for lighthouses, she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Pocahontas.

She is survived by daughter Deleta Gail Gates ( Neal Necaise)of Walnut Ridge and Sandra Jane Morgan (Gary Blackburn) of BlackRock, Ar, Grandchildren Tina Morgan of Walnut Ridge, Ar, Megan Parda-Olivares (Juan) of Quincy, Il, Tahl Gomez of Anna, Tx , Tony Gomez ( Leslie )of Bedford, Tx , Great-grandchildren Kayla Hoffman , Alyssa Hoffman of Walnut ridge, Abbie, Izick, and Austin Parada-Olivares of Quincy, Il Benjamin Gomez of Bedford, TX and great-great-granddaughter Callie Morgan of Walnut Ridge,Ar and one brother Charles King of Biggers, Ar

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9,2019 From 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Jerry Cochran officiating . Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
