Obituary

Bono- Mechial Ann Garrett, 52, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born March 15, 1969 in Trumann to Bennett and Patricia Jones Raymond.

Mechial was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She was an even better grandmother. She was hardworking and so generous and big hearted. She was the most selfless person and would do anything for anyone.

Mechial would do anything for her kids, they were her life. She talked to all three every single day. She was so funny and could cheer them up no matter what the circumstance. She was close to her grandson, Drake. He loved his meme and she adored him. She did everything for him. She could cook anything and it would always be perfect. She would spend hours cooking, she enjoyed it.

Mechial loved to fish, hunt and run the spotlight when frog gigging. She was a crafter, she could sew, draw, paint and knit. She was always making something. She worked for the Davis Brothers for years. She could drive any tractor on the farm and enjoyed working with the guys.

She was a member of the McCormick Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and joke and was a practical joke Queen!

She was survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Tim Garrett Sr.; father, Bennett Raymond of Trumann; children, Nikki Layne, Timmy Garrett Jr. and Zachary Garrett (Sheila) all of Bono; grandchildren, Drake Layne and Kinsley Ann Garrett: sisters, Teresia Raymond of Trumann and Kim Collins (Roy) of Bono and many nieces, nephews and other family members; and her dogs, Cherry and Thunder.
