May Bell (Wyatt) Brown, 84, of Pocahontas Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2020.
Born May 17, 1936 in Pocahontas Arkansas, May retired from American Commercial Barge Lines as a cook. Additionally, she worked at the Brown Shoe Company, Waterloo Industries and Magee Picture Frame Company in Pocahontas, as well as St. Bernard Medical Center and Skillcare Nursing Home in Jonesboro Arkansas.
May was of Christian faith, a patriot of the Lord and our country. She loved all animals, especially her dog Bandit and cat PeeWee; her Appaloosa horses and longhorn cow. May also loved quilting and gardening. Her passion was to watch her plants and flowers grow. She never met a stranger; she was kind and loving.
May was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Agnes Lavada (Tucker) Wyatt; two brothers, Raymond Kay Wyatt and Gilbert Mosley Wyatt; husband, Thomas Earl Brown and great-great grandson, Noah Allen Hoggard.
She is survived by her children, son, Thomas Scott Brown of Stokes, and five daughters, Earlene (Don) Morris, Mary Ann (Bill) Jones of Pocahontas, Celeste (Rick) Colburn of Brookland, Jeanette Richard of Spring Texas, and Vanessa (John) Ingalsbe of Panama City, Florida. Additionally, she is survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one on the way. May is also survived by lifelong friend Lovilla McClanahan, which May thought of as a sister; her Randolph County Nursing Home staff that she thought of as family; and by her sister, Bethel Jane (Wyatt) Hefner of Trenton Tennessee.
God gave us you and taketh an angel. Rest in peace Mom-Grandma-Great Grandma.
Graveside services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Masonic Cemetery with Carl Massey officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonic Cemetery in care of Farmers and Merchants Bank.
