Maynard - Maxine (McCook) Thompson, 79, of Maynard died Sunday, December 06, 2009, at her residence. She retired from teaching after 33 years, mostly in the Maynard School District. She was also a wife of a cattle farmer and construction owner. Survivors include: Son, James (Renee) Thompson of Maynard. Three daughters; Jackie Lincoln of Burlington, VT, Joyce Radcliff of Pocahontas and Janet (Ronald) Barnett of the home. Nine grandchildren; Anthony Houston, Angela Lincoln, Jason (Amy) Thompson, Julie (Chad) Williams, Shelly (Chester) Seawell, Jenny (Brandon) Kazzee, Amber (Clint) Seagraves, Jordan (Bret) Levier, and Mandy Barnett. 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister, Irene Moody of Jonesboro and brother, Shelby McCook of Sherwood. She is preceded in death by husband, Jack D. Thompson. Parents, Shelby and Lillie McCook, sister, Ella Harrison and son-in-law, Jerry Radcliff. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 09, 2009 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Brother Rick Hassell and Brother Anthony Clem officiating. Burial will follow to Maynard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
