Maxine Barr, 79, of Maynard passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home.

She was born January 22, 1946 in Walnut Ridge to the late William Claude and Flora Evelyn Cooper Harris.  Maxine was a private duty licensed practical nurse and was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Claude and Flora Evelyn Harris; her husband, Billy Wayne Barr; granddaughter, Samantha Leshea Barr; great grandson, Eric Tyler Shelhamer; brothers, Carl "Tooter" Harris, Noel Lee Harris, and David Claude Harris; and sister, Patricia Ann Hicks.

Maxine is survived by three sons, Kenion "Kenny" (Pam) Barr of Pocahontas, Noel Dean (Beth) Barr of Pocahontas, and Howard Lynn (Genny) Barr of Pocahontas; daughter, Kelly Lavern Barr of Maynard; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren and two more on the way; sister, Diane (Nicky) West of Mountain Home; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

All services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 3-5 PM.  Funeral service will be Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10 AM with Dan Avery officiating.  Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery.
