Obituary
Bay-Maxie O. Morrison, 85, passed away March 31, 2020 at his home.
He was born at Davis Spur, two miles south of Bay and a 1952 graduate of Bay High School. A long-time employee of The Singer Company, Arbor Products, and Delta Wood Products and an avid St. Francis River Crappie fisherman.
Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Frankie Morrison; by his maternal grandparents, Troy and Hattie Spurlock Holt and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Anderson Morrison and step-grandmother, Esther Watts Morrison; a sister, Phyllis Ashlock and a brother, Rick Morrison and his parents, Philip and Nina Holt Morrison.
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Aliceteen Warren Morrison; daughter, Tina Byrd and husband David; grandson Caleb Byrd; daughter, Gina Hogue and husband Billy and an extended family that includes a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and friends.
The family thanks NEA Baptist physicians, nurses, and staff for their outstanding medical care and for the recent support provided by Hospice care nurses and staff.
Due to the seriousness of the coronavirus, the burial will be private under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
