Jonesboro- Matthew Scott "D-Slim" Shipman, 35, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Scott was born May 25, 1987 in Jonesboro. D-Slim, as he was known in the Hip-Hop industry, loved working in his studio writing and making music. He had recorded many cds and performed several concerts. Scott enjoyed spending time with family and friends laughing and joking.

He is survived by his children, Alexus, Aiden, Julius and Nevah Shipman; five step-children; mother, Cindy Holt; father, Mathew Shipman; brother, Robert Blake Chambers (Regina); grandmother, Dorsia Warner; aunts, Donna Chambers, Lisa Derrick (Randy), Teresa Ramsey and Lisa Burns; uncles, Scott Roberts (Jessica), Clevy Roberts Jr. (Angel) and Trenton Roberts; nephews, Nathaniel Blake Chambers, Michael Scott Chambers, Matthew Hooks and Morgan Hooks; cousin, Hunter McPherson and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Roxanne McPherson and his grandfathers, Larry Smith, Clevy Roberts and James Chambers.

A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:30 Friday, August 12, 2022 with a short service from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.
