Obituary

Pocahontas- Mary Joanne Thielemier, 69, went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2013 at Randolph Home Nursing Home. Joanne was born May 30, 1944 in Engelberg to the late Bennie Thielemier and Anna Schaectel Thielemier. Survived by mother Anna Thielemier of Pocahontas, brothers, Jack (Nancy) Thielemier, Danny Thielemier, Bernard Jr. (Sharon) Thielemier, Leonard Thielemier, Sydney (Raynetta) Thielemier, Gary (Melissa) Thielemier, sisters , Marcia (Bill) Golden, Carolyn (Tom) Luter, Barbara Swann, Rose (Dennis) Hutsell, Chris (Tommy) Bennett all of Pocahontas, Lena Faulkner of Mississippi, 35 nephews and nieces, 43 great nephews and nieces, 6 great-great nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her father, Bennie Thielemier, brothers, Bud and Tom Thielemier, great niece Lauren McCurter. Joanne was a active member of the St/ John's Catholic Church in Engelberg and especially loved her involvement with the Catholic Youth ministries. She worked for many years at Cinch before eventually retiring at Skill Industries. Memorial can be made to St. John's Church, St. Paul School, or the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank everyone at Randolph Home, especially Joanne's special nurses, LeEllen Adkins and Belinda Johnson. Visitation will be Thursday November 14, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at St. John's Catholic Church with Rosary starting at 7:00 P.M. Funeral service will be Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Athanasius Okeiyi officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John's Cemetery.
