Weiner- Darla Bornhoft McDermott, 68, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Darla was born October 26, 1955 in Jonesboro to the late Herbert J. and Ida Jane Bornhoft. Darla attended St. Anthony Catholic School, Mount St Mary's Academy in Little Rock and graduated from Weiner High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.  She retired after working for several companies. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and games, going to the lake, watching the Dallas Cowboys and old westerns on tv and mowing her lawn.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Mike McDermott; son, Bart McDermott (Holly) of Jonesboro; brothers, Mike Bornhoft (Judi) of Jonesboro and John Bornhoft (Leigh) of Little Rock; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her special lake friends.

A celebration of her life will be noon, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Tuyen Do officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

The family requests memorials to St. Anthony Altar Society or Weiner Volunteer Fire Department.
