Mrs. Mary Ellen Mann of Harrisburg departed this life Wednesday Night, March 1, 2017, at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro, at the age of 95.
She was born July 11, 1921 in Eudora, AR, the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Keller.
Mary owned and operated Mary Mann's Daycare for over 50 years and had a genuine love for children. She enjoyed ceramics and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William L. "Bill" Mann in 1994, after nearly 50 years together. She was also preceded in death by a brother, H.T. Keller, a sister, Helen Gray and a niece, Sarah Gray.
She is survived by one son, Tommy Mann of Harrisburg, one daughter, Joy Kennedy (Art) of Cherry Valley, one grandson, Chad Turner of Wynne, and one great grandson, Luke Turner of Marigold, MS. The family would like to acknowledge her caretaker, Tammy Grant, the staff of St. Elizabeth's and a very special thank you to Victoria Perrin.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Mr. Mark Weston officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday evening, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider the Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
