Jonesboro- Mary Jo Pierce, 84, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024.

She was born to Curtis and Eveline Berry Leach. She had worked at Royal Pharmacy as a waitress. She was a quiet and simple lady who enjoyed dancing and holidays with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne Pierce on February 15, 2024; her parents, Curtis and Eveline Leach.

She is survived by her son, Scott Leach of Brookland; two step-sons, Dewayne Pierce Jr. (Tiffany) and Kevin Pierce (Sandi): grandchildren, Josh Leach, Mary Beth Pierce, Eli Pierce, McKenzie Pierce (Lena), Meredith Infield (Jordan) and Myles Pierce (Mattea); eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sue Carter (Bill) and Selma Chadwick (Harold) and special friends, Kim and James Cole and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Pine Log Cemetery.

The visitation will be from1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
