Pocahontas - Mary Jane Rush Jarrett passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Collier and the late Frank Rush and was born November 15, 1925 in Pocahontas, AR. Mary was a cashier for 50 years, the latter years being at IGA. She enjoyed reading and especially Bible study; she wrote poetry. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Mary is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mary suffered a severe stroke at the age of 77 and spent the last 10 years of her life in Randolph Home. Her oldest child, Polly McClure, is married to Thomas O'Donnell. The O'Donnells have two sons: Shawn and Adam, and four grandchildren: Ryanne, Ryleigh, Riordan and Aoife. Mary's second child, Yvonne Smith, is married to David Goff. The Goffs have two children: Dr. Brandon and Candice, and two grandchildren: Brittany and Taylor. Her third child, Carl Jarrett, is married to Catherine DeClerk. The Jarretts have three children: Logan, Miranda and Dalton. Her youngest child, Dr. Diane Jarrett, is married to Hyginus Ukadike. The Ukadikes have one son, John. The funeral arrangement is by McNabb Funeral Home. Mary chose to be cremated and will be buried in Masonic Cemetery. The memorial service will be held December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church and conducted by her pastor Nelson Henderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Free Will Baptist Church.
