Mary Varga Glass, 84, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, while peacefully sleeping at her residence in the Cottages at Walnut Ridge.

She was born to Frank and Elva McFarlin Varga in St. Louis, MO. on September 11, 1941.

She married Bob Glass, Sr., on January 21, 1958, in Memphis, TN. After marriage the couple lived in St. Louis, MO. until moving to California in 1963. The family lived in California until 1972 when they made their journey to Imboden, AR. Following moving to Imboden the couple operated Glass & Sons Truck Stop between Imboden and Black Rock for over 30 years. For the last three years of her life she lived at the Cottages in Walnut Ridge where the staff provided wonderful care for her. One of the main things she would say when talking to someone was “You are not going to believe this one”.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Frankie Varga; and one great-grandson, Noah Morris.

Survivors include three sons, Bob (Karen) Glass, Jr. of Imboden, Mike (Lisa) Glass of Harrison, AR. and Tim (Shelly) Glass of Ft. Smith, AR.; three daughters, Barbara Glass Meaham of St. Charles, MO., Marsha (Ken) Difani of Pocahontas, and Tracy Glass of Imboden; one sister, Barbara Harris of St. Louis, MO.; 10 grandchildren, Tiffany (Brian) Lindner, Crystal (Garrett) McPhearson, Ashley (Wes) Badgett, Tayna (Josh) Earls, Andi (Larry) Henson, Jannie (Dan) Boucher, Crystal Thompson, Kandice Wagoner, Randall Wagoner, and Brianna Glass; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30, at 4:00 PM in the Hope Cemetery at Imboden with Bro. Jerry Clements officiating.
