Walnut Ridge- Mrs. Mary Audrey Gaither, 97, passed away Thursday December 18, 2014 at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Home. She was born October 12, 1917 in Bay to the late Truman and Stella Rains Moore. Mrs. Gaither was a loving wife to her late husband Mr. Joe A. Gaither. She loved farming, gardening, quilting and participating in church actives. She was a member of the Light Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Betty Gaither of Bono; a sister, Dorothy Phillips of Illinois; a cousin, Alice Walker of Hoxie and several nieces and nephews. She was also proceeded in death by a son, Joe Lee Gaither; two brothers and four sisters. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery Monday December 22, 2014 at 10 am with Rev. Raymond Atwood officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral home. Lasting memorials may be made to the Light Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
