Monette- Mary Emma Pierce, 92, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on May 14, 1920 at Marion, Illinois to the late Charles and Myrtle DeGolyer. Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker and Elementary School teacher in her earlier years. She and her husband ran a store for twelve years in the Gibson Switch area. She loved to read and crochet.
