Jonesboro - Mary Ann Eaton entered Heaven's gates on Friday, November 26 ^th , 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

She was born October 21, 1926 in Knobel to the late Edward and Rose Sellmeyer. While raising her six children, she also cared for the sick during her career as a nurse at St. Bernard's hospital in Jonesboro. She and her husband of 53 years, Bill, loved spending summers at Lake Norfolk and cheering on the Razorbacks, especially during basketball season. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She was a crafty seamstress, talented painter, wonderful cook, animal lover, and patriotic American. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, as well as her six children, thirteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was a devout Catholic, and we are rejoicing that she is now reunited with her husband and parents in the presence of our Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband, W.H. (Bill) Eaton; her parents, Edward and Rose Sellmeyer; her brother, Joe Sellmeyer, and her son-in-law, Bill Caldwell.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Harris, her children Bill (Carol) Eaton, Mike (Nita) Eaton, Cathy Caldwell, Julie (Scott) Ironside, Liz (Paul) Teufel, Marty (Paula) Eaton, and her grandchildren, Meghan (John) Teeter, Sarah (Dr. Brady) DeClerk, Zach Taylor, Dr. Katie (John) Gattone,  Jason (Carrie) Eaton, John (Amanda) Eaton, Dr. Aaron (Dr. LeAnne) Teufel, Mary-Beth (Doug) Chambers, Stephen (Tristen) Ironside, Mollie Ironside, Andrew (Sarah) Ironside, Dr. Anna Claire (Dr. William) Compton, and Will Eaton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament in Jonesboro. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery in Knobel under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to time of service Tuesday at the church.
