Mary Jane Davis of Mountain View, departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at The Springs of Batesville Nursing Home at the age of 92.

She was born March 17, 1930 in Fisher, AR, the daughter of the late William Guthrie and Nona Piltcher Guthrie.

Mary Jane married David Davis on December 10, 1946 and they enjoyed 44 years together before his death in June of 1990.  She was a former manager at the Addisoe Shoe Factory in Wynne and loved quilting, knitting and spending time with her little dog Tramp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David, her daughter, Anita Jane Cheney, three sisters, Sara Davis, Bitty Guthrie and Pat Guthrie, and one brother, George William Guthrie.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Roger Cheney of Mountain View, one sister, Nona Grojean (Denzil), three brothers, Gordon Davis, Clifford Davis and John Davis, two grandsons, Terry Cheney of Jonesboro and Chris Cheney of Bald Knob, five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Fisher Cemetery with Rev. Steven Long officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorials be made to charity of your choice or Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
