Mary Kathryn Broadway of Pocahontas entered her heavenly home on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Lawrence Hall at the age of 80.

She was born on May 17, 1945, in Hoxie to the late Olen Dawson and Mildred Stephens Dawson. Mary was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Pocahontas and loved Jesus with her whole heart.She worked for many years at Waterloo Quality Control. She was a family centric woman who looked forward to family gatherings. She enjoyed singing and dancing with family and making joyous life memories. She embraced the presence of anyone who crossed her threshold and imprinted memories on everyone who she came in contact with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Mildred Dawson; beloved husband, Lloyd Broadway; grandson, Tyler Broadway; brother, Alvin Dawson; sisters, Anna Corgel, Nancy Groth, Joann Karberg, Norma Gosa, Janet Wilammie, and Donna Riggle.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Broadway and Keith (Mary W) Broadway; grandchildren, Justin (Kayla) Broadway, Ryan (Elyssa) Broadway, Derek (Landree) Broadway, Isaac Broadway, and Isaiah Broadway; great-grandchildren, Mallory Broadway, Brayden Broadway, Nolan Broadway, Eleanor Broadway, and Charlotte Broadway; siblings, Jerry (Peggy) Dawson, Wilma Brewer, Jimmy (Debbie) Dawson, Sharon (Glen) Eldridge, Beverly (Van) Wilder, Billy (Joy) Dawson and Brenda (Gary) Ziegler. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm with Terry Miller officiating. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Masonic Cemetery.
