Jonesboro- Mary Magdalene Boyd, 88, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013. She was born on December 28, 1924 at Strawberry to the late Henry and Margaret Jones. She was a homemaker, a caregiver and a member of the Highland Dr. Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dean Boyd and Brenda of Brookland, Joyce Williams and Bill of Bono and Edna Boyd and Terry Green of Hoxie; six grandchildren Wayne, Lisa, Brad, Shannon, Michael and Tyler; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Boyd; a son, Delbert Boyd; a daughter, Virginia Mae Boyd; a brother, Nathan; five sisters, Valley, Lola, Nora, Lilly and Amanda; a great-grandson, Malcom. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Marvin Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brad Boyd, Terry Jenkins, Colton Sullivan, Gaylon McDaniel, Buck Warren and Tyler McDaniel and as honorary pallbearers the members of the Nettleton Church of Christ
