Mary Blankenship Williams, 99, of Pocahontas passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Randolph Home.

She was born August 2, 1924 in Pocahontas to the late Warren Lee and Thelma Martin Blankenship.  Mary devoted her life to a nursing career, but her first job was at the end of WWII working on the third leg of the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, TN.  She was a Christian.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Thelma Blankenship; husband, Charles Williams; and sister, Ann B. Carroll.

Mary is survived by two nephews, William N. Carroll and Dr. Patrick W. Carroll of Pocahontas; niece, Carol Ann Carroll of Pocahontas; sister, Martha Murph of Tyler, TX; and special friends Terri Presley and Raul Blasini.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 2 PM at Masonic Cemetery with Kevin Barnett officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
