Obituary

Jonesboro- Mary Ann Jansen, 75, passed away Monday November 4, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born May 3, 1938 in Heber Springs to the late Edward Schtatz and Norie Ethel Wade Schratz. Mrs. Jansen was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a retired nursery worker for the church. Mrs. Jansen also worked in medical records at St. Bernards Medical Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working on craft projects. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Eggers and husband Randy, Paula Sharp and husband Anthony and Monica Jansen all of Jonesboro; a son, Edward Jansen of Collierville, TN; a cousin as close as a sister, Mary Juanita Dodge and husband Jim of Mablevale; three grandchildren, William Sharp, Rachel Eggers and Lauren Eggers. She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Jansen; a grandson, Michael Sharp. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Jack Vu officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul'sCemetery in Pocahontas under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. with rosary at 7:00 pm. Lasting memorial may be sent to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Honored to serve as pallbearers are the Knights of Columbus, Tom Ford, Tom Gschwend, Roger DeRoeck, Ken Newberry, Don Throesch, Paul Gunter and as honorary pallbearer, Bill Kueter.
