Obituary

Monette- Martha Jo Kelley, 90, passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Martha was born August 19, 1930 in Monette to C. B. "Bud" and Fannie Huddleston.

Martha was a Christian and a longtime member of Monette First Baptist Church. She taught school in the Monette School District, now BIC, for thirty-five years, teaching in the elementary school and later teaching girl's junior and senior high school physical education and junior high English. She sponsored the junior and senior cheerleaders and the girl's summer softball program for several years. She also played Canasta for thirty or more years with a group of special friends.

She was a devoted mother and loved her two girls more than life itself, which was passed on to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morris Kelley; daughter, Vicki Lynn Redman; grandson, Scott Redman and three sisters, Delorise Smith, Norma Jean Carlton and Juanita Welch.

Survivors are daughter, Sharron Kay Littlejohn (Mickey); grandsons, Randy Littlejohn (Tamecha) and Rodney Redman (Katie); son-in-law, Melvin Redman (Janette); seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; six nieces and three nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

A graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
