Mrs. Faye Hillis of Marked Tree departed this life Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026, at the NEA Baptist hospital in Jonesboro, at the age of 78.

She was born February 6, 1947 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Walter Davis and Mary Susan Kizer Davis.

Faye was a homemaker and a nursing home aide. She was also a sub-teacher, a pastor’s wife, a devout Christian, a loving mother, grandma, sister and just a wonderful person. She was loved by all who knew her. Faye was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Trumann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hillis, one sister, Mary Emma Jean Walters, and two brothers, George Thomas Davis and Walter Wayne Davis.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Wayne Hillis and his wife Vickie of Bono, and Charles Anthony “Tony” Hillis of Marked Tree, one brother, Paul Randal Davis of MO, three grandchildren, Chrystal Wooldridge and husband Kevin of Bono, Whitney Hall of Bono, and Morgan Sailor and her husband Cameron of Jonesboro, and several great grandchildren, Kenzy Sheffield (Gage), Staley Puckett, Kaden Pope, Jackson Reid Cline, Byson Drew Sailor, and Forest Sailor. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning, 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Lovins officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eddie Hillis, Eddie Brewington, Billy Baker, John Purcell, DeWayne Glover  and Bobby Fletcher. Honorary Pallbearers are Buddy Helton and Dustin Hillis.
