Obituary
Pocahontas- Marla Louise Scott Nee Hein, 62, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Marla was born January 5, 1956 in Winfield, IL to Walter and Marilyn Ingram Hein.
Marla had a love and compassion for animals and gardening. She spent many years working and volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation before receiving her LPN and working at Five Rivers Medical Center. She then worked as an LPN in Aiken, South Carolina. She retired in 2015 and returned to Pocahontas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and Walter Hein; and her husband, David Scott.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Steve) Hubbard, Danielle (Jim) Murray; sisters, Maria Dixon, Marta Schild, Margo Muniz; and grandsons, Paul Hein, Riley Hubbard and Lane Murray.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Toni, Lorraine, Matt, Connie and the entire staff of Stonebridge Assisted Living for their support, love and care for Marla during her residency there.
No services at this time. Arrangements under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a lasting memorial may be made to Five Rivers Animal Aid in memory of Marla.
