Jonesboro- Marion Marie Sewell Gunn, 86, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Marion was born October 4, 1926 in Texarkana to the late Marion Ashley Sewell and Clara Bell Sellman Sewell. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Gunn was a registered nurse and a member of the Valley View Church of Christ and a member of the Marion County Quartet. She volunteered for many organizations including a water aerobics instructor at the NEA Area on Aging. Mrs. Gunn was also a former Sr. Mrs. NEA. She is survived by her husband, John Alan Gunn; a son and his wife, Carmon and Paula Dillard of Ault, Colorado; a daughter and her husband, Reanne and Ronnie West of Paragould; a brother and his wife, David Leigh and Ruthanne Sewell of Yellville; grandchildren and their spouses, Joe and Angel Greeno, John and Amanda Greeno, Kim and Terry Walker and Kyle and Corrie Dillard; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Sewell; a great-grandson, Miles Lindberg Greeno. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with John Mark Wilson and Michael Meredith officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from noon until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Greeno, John Greeno, Forestt Greeno, Jerry Spencer, Terry Walker and Drake Walker.
