Jonesboro- Marion Griffin Moore Campbell, 95, died peacefully at her home, Thursday, August 24, 2023. She lived her entire life in Jonesboro. She lived her life to the fullest.
She graduated from Valley View High School in 1947, she was class president. She attended ASU briefly and graduated from Jonesboro Business College. She retired from Lincoln Manufacturing Company in the accounting department after ten years and Caldwell Construction Company after ten years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Jonesboro. She was a deaconess, first female elected Elder of the Church and a member of Bykota Sunday School Class.
She was an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs. She looked forward to her bridge clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Jewel Griffin; sisters, Wandaleen Griffin Wood and Jean Griffin Caldwell; brothers, Rueben Griffin and Ralph Griffin; and husbands, Tom Moore and Claude Campbell.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Warren and her husband, Wallace; granddaughter, Christi Pettit and her husband, Roger; a great-grandson, Chase Pettit; nephews, Carroll Caldwell, Steve Griffin, Rev. Dr. Tony Griffin, David Griffin and Larry Wood.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Tony Griffin and Rev. Don Martin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
Nephews will be pallbearers with Pete Yarbrough as an honorary pallbearer.
Lasting memorials may be sent to the First Christian Church to honor Marion.
