Lake City – Marilyn Francis Wright, 89, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at her home.

She was born February 3, 1933 in Lawrence County, Missouri to the late Antone and Lulu Wolfe Schwarz. Mrs. Wright taught for many years in the Lake City School District and also taught piano and organ to many students. She enjoyed gardening, collecting coins and thimbles. The loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her fur babies, cats, Kelly and Pugsly and dog, Ladybugs.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Morgan Wright.

She is survived by her sons, James Wright (Karen) and Tony Wright and step-daughter, Ruth Jane Patterson and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
