Bono- Marilyn J. Adams, 85, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born August 8, 1938 in Hayti, Missouri to the late Roy and Adaline Tyra Chambers.  She retired from General Electric. She enjoyed making quilts and loved going to church, she was there every time the doors were open. Marilyn loved her family deeply.

She is survived by sons, Brent Adams and Brad Adams; grandchildren, Brady Adams, Kris Adams, Hunter Adams, MacKenzie Evans and Zachary Evans and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lee Adams; sister, Marlene Hurst; brothers, Orville Chambers, Donald Chambers, Doyle Chambers and Carl Chambers.

A celebration of her life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Pentecostals of Jonesboro Church with Darrell Runyon officiating. Interment will follow at Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Clay Chambers, Rudy Robinson, Robb Robinson, Keith Parks, Byron Hurst and James Adair.
