Marie Wray Teel, 78, of Pocahontas, Ar. passed away on the afternoon of September 24, 2018 at the caring and loving facility of Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House while she was surrounded by family and friends who loved her very much. She was born September 1, 1940, at home, the daughter of Ed and Emma Tucker Prater of Maynard, Ar.

Marie loved to bowl and watch sports. She was an avid bowler and bowled in a women's league both in Pocahontas and Jonesboro as well as traveling all over to tournaments, including New York. She never missed watching a Cardinal or Razorback game. If she couldn't watch it, you could bet that she and her loving husband of 54 years would be listening to it on the radio. The only things that meant more to her was her faith in Christ and her family. She loved her kids and her grand babies with all of her heart and participated in anything and everything she could, from sports to academics, she was there with a big smile on her face and a scream from the stands!

Marie was the fourth of seven children and was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Emma Prater; her husband, Billy Gene Teel; sister, Elsie Kennett; and brothers, Jim (Janice) Prater and Robert (Joyce) Prater.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Tim) Jones of Paducah, Ky., Mary Lynn (Dale) King of Odessa, Tx.; sons, Richard Teel and Allen (Michelle) Teel; brother, Rick (Linda) Prater; and sisters, Pat Lorsbach of Pocahontas, Ar. and Georgia (James) Ratliff of Imboden, Ar.

Her grandchildren, Ryan, Stevie Paige, Tyler (Stephanie), Ashley (Cody), Hannah (Weston), Melissa (Shawn) and Brandi (Chance).

Her great-grandchildren Bryson, Milly, Samuel, Amelia, Rhett, Abri, Hanah, Haylee, Sean, Bryan, Caden, Shaeleigh and William.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at 3:00 pm with Larry Rogers and Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Tim Prater, David Prater, Ryan Cole, Jamie DeJournett, Tyler Brewer and Colby Johnson.
