Marie Catherine Peters, 98, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 27, 2026.

She was born on August 15, 1927, in Running Lake, Arkansas to the late William A. Zosso and Malissa E Johnson Zosso. She worked for Brown Shoe for many years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Martin Peters; her son, Ronald Peters; her daughter, Karen James; four sisters; and three brothers.

Marie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her five daughters: Judy Denson (Don), Diana "Dee" Howell, Sue Rowell (Kevin), Mary LePage (Peter), and Martina Foulks (Jim). She was a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Bea McDaniel, Anna Mae (Darrel), Higginbotham, Bud (Pam) Zosso, Jeanie (Norm) Gossett, and Rudy (Barb) Zosso, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Marie will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the kindness she extended to others, and the lasting legacy she leaves in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday July 31, 2026, with Rosary to follow in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery.
