Marie Buchanan Davis, 108 years old, of Pocahontas Arkansas, passed away on July 9, 2016. She is proceeded in death by her husband Sherman E. Davis of 48 years. She is also preceded in death by Nephew, Everett Dodd Jr. (Polly) of Hernando Mississippi,andgreat nephew Bradd Everett Dodd, of Hernando Mississippi, and Glenn Northup of St. Louis Missouri
She is survived by Nieces, Ruth MarieDoddStotler, of Warrenton Mo. and Dr. Carol Buchanan Jones of Biloxi Mississippi, and Nephew Dr.William Buchanan (Noni) of Jackson Mississippi, Great Nieces Lynn Johnson of Ofallon Mo. Cathy Rodamaker of Lake St. Louis Mo.Bonnie Merz of Wright City Mo. Diane Rykiel of Ofallon Mo. and Susan Hughes of Dallas Texas. William Brian Buchanan of Mississippi, Christopher Toler Buchanan of CharlotteNC, and Martha Ann Jones.
Marie was a lifetime Resident of Pocahontas Arkansas. She was retired from Pocahontas Federal Savings and Loan in Feb of 1967. She was an icon in the community and voted The Average Arkansan in 1991 and devoted St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan.
She will be truly remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will held at the McNabb Funeral Home Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 1-2 pm with a graveside service immediately following at 2 pm with Fred Hunter officiating at Randolph Memorial Gardens.
