Obituary
Jonesboro- Margaret Jeanette "Jeanne" Buchanan Hamilton, 91, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019.
She was born January 9, 1928 in Hoxie to the late Clay and Frida Jones Buchanan. Jeanne was a graduate of Clover Bend High School. She was a lifelong childcare provider and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, L. B. "Red" Hamilton; a sister, Mary Lou Buchanan Harris and two brothers, Joe Taylor Buchanan and Don Buchanan.
She is survived by a brother, Randy Buchanan of Little Rock area; a hundred year old cousin, Anna Laura Long of Walnut Ridge and several step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and as well as many beloved friends.
A memorial service will held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 at First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. Patty Soward and Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial in Jonesboro City Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church's Youth and Children's Building Fund, 801 S. Main St, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
