Marcita Lou Bennett, 66, of Pocahontas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born on February 7, 1959, to Marvin Phillips and Billie Welch Phillips, Marcita dedicated her life to her family and her community. She earned a bachelor's degree and then received her master's degree as well in education and became a beloved teacher within the Pocahontas School District, where she made a lasting impact on many students' lives with her compassion, dedication, and warmth.

Marcita was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Phillips, and her cherished granddaughter, Mallory Nicole Moore.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Allen Bennett, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories; her children, Justin (Kelsey) Bennett of Dover, Ashley (Tyler) Roberts of Conway, Tiffany (Denny) Moore of Pocahontas, and Lezlee (KC) Starr of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Emily Moore, Harlee Jo Bennett, Rhett Bennett, Sadie Moore, and Ridge Bennett; her loving mother, Billie Phillips of Mt. Home; and her siblings, Joe Phillips of Yellville, Sam (Yvette) Phillips of Yellville, and Larry (Laura) Phillips of Flippin, Lorna (Curtis) Casey of Mt. Home, and Margie (Roger) Bone of Mt. Home. Marcita will also be deeply missed by many extended family members, friends, and all who knew her kind heart.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. Nelson Henderson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Joe Phillips, Sam Phillips, Larry Phillips, Mike Brown, Curtis Casey, and Roger Bone.

Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Roberts, Denny Moore and KC Starr.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Randolph County Library where she enjoyed taking her grandkids.
