Pocahontas- "Mama" Sue Alphin, 71 passed away on August 26, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.

"Mama" Sue was born on January 12, 1947 in Jerseyville, Illinois to Paul and Edith Adkins. Leon and Sue were married on January 13, 1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Leon Alphin of the home; children, Chad Alphin, Heath Alphin, Robin Myers, Kelly (David) Smith, Todd Jackson all of Pocahontas; sister, Carol Turner of St. Louis, MO; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; special granddaughter, Raliegh Alphin; many nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law; and special friend, Carlene Mitchell.

Special thanks to Betty Getson and Leroy Blackwell for staying in Little Rock while Sue was in the hospital and to Legacy Hospice for all their help.

Both services will be at McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5-7 pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10 am with David Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Tyler Brook, Mike Hughes, Joey Lindquist, Shannon Lincoln, Chris Halliburton and Greg Chesser.

Honorary pallbearers: Luke Kasinger, Jonny Tyler, Pat McKenzie, Mike Blackwell, Dustin Alphin and Travis Alphin.
