Obituary

Mae Williams passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 20, 2022 at Randolph County Nursing Home.

Mae was born on January 23, 1933 to Everett "Doc" Williams and Mittie Bellah Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Mose and Lola Bellah; husband, Clay Hutsell; siblings, Sherman Williams, Willis Williams, Lovis Hogan, Lewrita Ahring; and a son.

Our mom and nanny was a strong woman who loved and took care of us all fiercely. She loved to garden and provided for her family many years through her gardening skills. She was a charter member of Northside Free Will Baptist Church. Her and Clay were instrumental in starting that church, where she served as the pianist, until she was no longer able to attend. She retired from the Brownshoe Company after more than 35 years.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Jeff) Archer of Imboden; son, Lyndal (Teresa) Hutsell of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Audra (Randy) Land, Dustin (Crystal) Thompson, Maddison Hutsell, Jacob (Kali) Archer, Logan (Rebecca) Britt, Tanner Britt; great grandchildren, Kaden Thompson, Jaden Baldridge, Aubrey Jo Thompson, Chase Land, Christopher Land, John Land, Hazel Archer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 12-1 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 1 PM with Kevin Barnett officiating.  Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are nephews, Ralph Williams Jr, Frankie Williams, Ronnie Hogan, Phil Kissee, Dennis Hutsell, Rick Mayland.
