Lynn Blankenship, age 66, of Jonesboro passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 22, 1959 to Bob and Allison (Tootie) Blankenship.

Lynn spent her childhood years living in Marianna, Arkansas and later moved to Jonesboro where she graduated from Nettleton High School in 1978. After graduation, she worked at Couch’s Barbecue for several years. She enjoyed cheering on the Nettleton Raiders at Friday night football games and her son and daughter as they participated in Miracle League on Saturday mornings.

She is survived by her mother Allison Gentry; son, Michael Whittaker and daughter, Ashley Blankenship both of Jonesboro; brother Bill Blankenship (Carrie) of Elkton, MD; sister Robin Ring (Mike) of Oklahoma City, OK; sister Allison Yancey (Rick) of Pennington NJ; nieces Rebecca Ostroski (Jason) of Bel Air, MD; Sarah and Katie Yancey of Pennington NJ; nephew Jack Blankenship (Tessa) of Smyrna DE and her great nieces Genevieve and Cameron Ostroski of Bel Air, MD.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
