Luther Almond King, 89, of Pocahontas passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
He was born April 25, 1931 at Many Islands to the late Mose and Bertha Wilson King. He was an Army veteran, machinist, and of the Church of Christ belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verma Jean Cooper; two sons, Dale King and Kirk King; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Luther is survived by one daughter, Karen King of Chicago Heights, Illinois; sister-in-law, Vera Cooper of Pocahontas; niece, Charlotte Murphy of Katy, Texas; great niece, Cheryl Haseeb of Houston, Texas; great great nephews, Lane Murphy, Landon Teague, and Zain Haseeb of Houston, Texas; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 1:30-2:00 PM at Wicker Cemetery with a graveside service at 2 PM with C.C. Baird officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
