Brookland- Lula Pearl Turney, 84, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Pearl was born February 9, 1938 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Troy and Vera Pearl Peterson Towery. She was a homemaker who also helped her husband on the farm. She enjoyed westerns, working with flowers and loved her family.

She was survived by her daughters, Betty Donnell (Tom) of Brookland and Juanita Cremeens (Guy) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Shannon Barnes (Kiley), John Donnell, Zachery Wall and Kerry Don Wall (Brittany) all of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Jacob Barnes, Kinsey Barnes, Finley Barnes, McKinley Donnell, Reid Donnell, Mackenzie Wall, Lynzee Wall, Kolby Wall and Dakota Wall and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Turney; five brothers and two sisters.

All services will be private under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
