Lucinda Nix Starnes, 58, of Pocahontas died Monday, May 25th at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was born March 20th, 1957 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was a graduate of Fairview High School in Camden and an inspiration to many during her battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband the Rev. Dr. Rockey Starnes, sons Judson Adam Savacool of Little Rock and Michael Caleb Savacool (Sarah) of Pocahontas; a granddaughter, Abbey Kay Savacool of Pocahontas; her parents, Allen Nix (Delphia) of Piggott and Ruth Nix of Camden; a sister Cathy Reynolds of Camden; nephews, Aaron Reynolds, Micah Reynolds of Little Rock and niece Hannah Reynolds (Mark Lowe , fiance) of Camden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Savacool of Camden. Cindy was a faithful pastor's wife and member of First United Methodist Church of Pocahontas where she sang in the Chancel Choir and served as Chaplain of the Randolph County Chapter of the P.E.O. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday, May 27th at McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Thursday, May 28th, at First United Methodist Church, 400 Thomasville, Pocahontas. The Rev. Bob Hager, Rev. Susan Ledbetter and the Rev. John Fleming will be officiating. Pall Bearers will be Aaron Reynolds, Micah Reynolds, Mark Lowe, Wayne Proctor, Danny Starnes, and Larry Evans. Special seating for visiting members of the clergy and spouses will be provided. Interment will immediately follow the service at Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas. The family wishes to thank Dr. Diane Wilder of Little Rock and her kind staff for their untiring and devoted care during these three years of Cindy's fight with breast cancer.
