Obituary
Lucille Teel, 90, of Pocahontas received her angel wings Thursday, May 21, 2020.
She was born July 24, 1929 in Randolph County to the late Jess and Pearl Strange. She was a kind, patient, soft-spoken, loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She co-owned Teel Lumber Company with her husband, Duane, and was the bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Stoney Point Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and caring for her pets. But most of all, she relished time spent with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Pearl Strange; brothers, George, Wess, Less, and Orb Strange; and husband, Duane Teel.
She is survived by a half-brother, Tommy Strange; her children, Gary (Dalleen) Teel of Pocahontas, Randy Teel of Pocahontas, Norman (Jill) Teel of Pocahontas; five grandchildren, Tammy Teel, Michelle Waymire, Gary J. Teel, Kelly Lopez, and Grant Teel; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 24, from 1-2 P.M. Services will be 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery.
