Pocahontas- Lowell Elton Carlew, 92, passed away April 4, 2018 at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro.

Lowell was born May 28, 1925 in Balch, AR to Norman and Viola Ford Carlew. He served his country in the Army from 1944-1946 during WWII. On May 2, 2018, he and Joy would have been married for 65 years. He enjoyed golf and fishing during his retirement and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Yuvonne Carlew and Dale Carlew.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Carlew; brothers, Neal (Joyce) Carlew, Barry (Mary Jane) Carlew; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2018 from 1-2 pm at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral immediately following at 2 pm with Dr. Rockey Starnes officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Daryl Blaxton, Mark Blaxton, Phillip Blaxton, Mike Dunn, Gus Christakis and Bruce Puryear.
