Caraway -Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Saffell, 77, departed this life Sunday morning, February 11, 2018, at her home in Caraway.

She was born April 12, 1940 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Otto and Blanche (Roush) Mielke. Louise graduated Practical Nursing School in August of 1969 and worked in the nursing field for over 36 years. She was a devoted member of the Caraway United Methodist Church where she enjoyed serving in many ways, including the development of a prayer garden, teaching in children's church, and managing an online prayer circle. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren in which she so effortlessly and consistently worked to instill a positive attitude, confidence, humility and a love for God, family, learning and life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Keith Godfrey Churchill, and one brother, David Mielke.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Vaughn (Jerry) of Caraway and Rebecca Cosbey of Caraway; one son, Keith Churchill (Felicia) of Caraway; three brothers, Thomas Mielke (Jackie) of MI, Jon Mielke (Suzanne) of FL and Robert Mielke (Sam) of MI; nine grandchildren, Travis Emery ( Casey) of Caraway, Nicholas Emery (Taylor) of Caraway, Noah Churchill (Rachel) of Manila, Amanda Ricketts (Stephen) of Dexter, MO, Rusty Earnest of Caraway, Stephen Earnest of Caraway, Randy Kramer (Cathy) of Paragould, Clifton Kramer (Monica) of Caraway, and Veronica Cosbey, and 19 great grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at the First United Methodist Church in Caraway, with Bro. Jason Sutfin officiating.
