Louis Monroe Francis Jr., 45, of Maynard, passed away on January 2, 2026, at his home in Maynard.

Louis was born on January 22, 1980, in Princeton, Illinois, to Louis Monroe Francis Sr. and Frances Mounts Francis. He was employed as a cook at McDonald’s. In his free time, Louis enjoyed video gaming and playing paintball.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Mounts Francis.

Louis is survived by his sisters, Nellie Parshall and April Kerp, both of Illinois; his nieces and nephews, Paul Breese, Brian Breese, Thomas Breese, Amanda Jones, and Samantha Moulton; along with 15 great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
