Jonesboro-Loretta Jean Wright 91, passed away on January 28, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on April 1, 1933, in Marmaduke to the late Johnie and Grace Davis Ogles. She was a homemaker and caregiver, always taking care of her family. She loved being with her family. Loretta had a garden where she grew strawberries. She would also make jam and jelly. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was known as "Mamaw" to her grandkids and great-grandchildren. She had the sweetest smile, and everyone always commented on how cute she was. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons: Charles Dale "Chuck" Wright Jr. ( Deborah Ann) of Franklin, TN and Kevin Lee Wright (Alean) of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Charles Aron Wright (Kelly), Justin Blake Wright (Lacy), Amber Bond (Adam), and Autumn Estrada (Ramon); great-grandchildren; Peyton Bond, Gray Wright, Spencer Bond, Noble Wright, Lincoln Estrada, Charles Aron Wright Jr ( Chachi), Rockefeller Wright, and Gabriel Wright; two nephews: Herbie Ogles and D. J. Ogles and several other nieces and nephews and her special dog Lily.
She was preceded by her husband of 66 years, Charles Dale Wright, four brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Billy Vanderbilt officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
The family requests lasting memorials to the St. Paul United Methodist Church.
