Lonie Gipson, 76 of Walnut Ridge, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Lonie was born January 20, 1945 to Raymond and Geneva (Bill) Salyards Gipson in Pocahontas. He was a self-employed farmer for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Geneva Gipson; brother, Raymond Truill Gipson, brother Connie Gipson; granddaughters, Shahara and Emily Gipson.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Gipson of the home, son, Lonie Steven Gipson of Pocahontas, Son Christopher Gipson of Pocahontas, and daughter Kimberly Gipson of Searcy; grandchildren, Drew, Justin, and Destini Palmer of Pocahontas, Zeb and Natalie Gipson of Imboden and Caitlyn Gipson of Pocahontas; sister, Carol Elledge of Pocahontas, Genon Underwood of Indiana and Tim Gipson of Indiana; numerous friends and other loved ones.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, 11:00 A.M, January 26, 2021 at Duty Cemetery with Glen Smith officiating.

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
